The idea of starting my own little Vintage Clothing store online has been on my mind for some time now. I have been thinking of taking the plunge and just going for it. I have been weary of doing this because of my Crafty Corazon crafty/etsy business I already have, and which is being neglected. I figured, if I can't stay on top of my Crafty Corazon etsy site what makes me think I can keep up with a Vintage Clothing store? So I basically put it out of my mind.
The idea of opening up my online store popped back into my head a few months back when I had the chance to meet the very sweet Nikki form Little Bits of Nikk Nak. I was very excited to make a connection with the ever growing Sacramento Blog circle and to also meet a blogger I follow. She recently took the plunge and opened up her online store, Little Bit Vintage. I spoke to her briefly about hers store and her advice on opening up my own store. She gave me the best advice, she basically said "Just do it, but its definitely hard work." I secretly decided to just go for it, but I had no idea where to begin or even how to begin. The universe decided to lend me a hand and made up my mind for me. I came across an opportunity that I could not pass up. I am teaming up with friends to make our dreams come true. We decided to work together and make it happen, soon, very soon.
I will post more on this venture shortly, but for now I am just excited to say that I feel I am on the right path in life.

Thifting Thursday
I know, I know, its not Thursday but I still wanted to create this post, mainly because I have enough down time to think and write.
I am a very very thrifty person (in more ways than one). I love to save money, but that is not the primary reason that I shop mainly at thrift stores. I love thrift stores and have transitioned to solely shopping at thrift stores to find my clothes and accessories. A year or so back I stumbled upon Wardrobe Refashion, which truly inspired me. I signed up on my own accord, because I really never signed up through the website, but I still followed all the sign up rules. I decided to give it a try and see how long I could last. I only refashioned and only bought at thrift stores. I absolutely loved it! I love that my clothes are unique, that I am helping out our environment, and that I am not contributing to the corporate nation that we live under. So was born my complete obsession with thrifting!
Enough blah, blah, blah, now onto the good stuff. I came up with this Thursday Thrift post idea in the shower, I was really impressed with myself thinking "how could I have not thought of this sooner". Well I later came to realize later that I had seen this before, and on one of my favorite blogs, Secret Agent Josephine had done it, but only a few days earlier than I had! LOL. Im sure others out there have same post but I hope my take on it will be al little different.
So starting thursday I hope to post some new thrift store finds, which I do have many of.
Happy Caturday!

Owl Collection...and it begins!
Hello friends!
I have been away for a quick second, but now I am back, hoping to post 2 blogs today. The first blog is something a little selfish. So recently I came across Yellow Goat, a great blog, but what makes it even better is this recent give away. I have mentioned before how I am now collecting Owls with one exception, my owls need to have “jobs”. Wha? Let me splain, the little owls I have so far all do something. Here, let me show you…
This little owl is an incense burner.
This little one is a flowerpot or vase. I also have an owl that is a whistle, but I don’t have a picture of him.
And finally my favorite little pair, these owls, which are just perfect porcelain napkin rings.
Well getting back to the selfish nature of this post. Yellow Goat is giving away a set of 6, YES 6 of these little guys and I WANT THEM!!!!! So to get into the drawing I have to post on her blog and blog about her blog, not that that’s a hard thing to do being that the blog rocks.
So I am in love with these porcelain napkin rings and knowing my luck I will prob not be the winner, yet I still have the hope that I can one day find a set of my own.

Just a Quick Clip
As promised here are some of the goodies I found this past weekend at our local flea market. I had a blast this past weekend. It was the first time in 3 weeks that the sun came out and we could go for a nice walk. Not only did I find a wonderful camera but I was also able to add to my collection of owls, which I only just began collecting.
This little thing is just so cute.
These little birds are super cute. The owl will go into my collection, which I will post about later.
The best find of the day! This wonderful camera. Mr. J was the one that actually spotted it and convinced me to buy it. Isn't he wonderful?

Ps. Do you see the little things in the back? Those items will come into play next time (more projects)
Thanks! Happy animal sticking its head out of a hole day.

A Thrifting We Will Go.....
Hello blog world, I have been thinking of you kindly. Its been almost a week since I posted anything, and frankly its because I have been busy. I am super excited that I have been busy, mostly because busy means money to pay the bills. I have been subbing and have loved it. On top of subbing I have also been attending class. I graduated in December, but I am taking an American Sign Language class as well as a World Geography class (because it sounds fun).
I have been up and about all around town these past few days. Rewind!! Last weekend Mr. J and I had a thrift store extravaganza. Mr. J is so wonderful because he went with me to 3 different thrift stores and never once complained.
Here are some goodies I found at my new favorite thrift store, which I am happy to say that is crazy close to our little home.
Awesome, beautiful pair of vintage suit cases. These are wonderful and will be up on Etsy shortly, well if I can bare to part with them.
I also picked up this nice cross for $2. Its super heavy, which means I have no idea how to hang it up on the wall.
