No more apologies....
I love The Smiths, just wanted to let the blog world know that. I am just getting some things together before NYE tomorrow. I am excited for the new year because I know it will have great things in store. This year has been amazing, but I cant wait for the new adventures that will come up, as well as the new adventures I will be able to blog about. So far this little blog has developed nicely, but I long for some juicy things to write about, things that will gather readers as well as followers. I know that beginning a blog is a process and it will take time, but I am excited to travel down that road.
On a side note, today was a very interesting day. I have had ups and downs this whole week. Yesterday was very much an up day, energy, mood, and creativity. Today on the other hand is a meh day and I have no idea why. I have been up to some stuff, stuff is good, but I am nowhere near where I wanted to be before NYE. Oh well, I will def get a good start in the coming year.
ps. Cant wait for Monday, wish me luck! (but more on that later)

Thai Lettuce Wraps
Being that I am currently between jobs...due to my recent graduation and the holiday season...I have been cooking and crafting a bit. I made a little pre NYE resolution of not eating at restaurants or fast food joints, with that said now my butt has to cook. Yesterday I decided to cook a cross between chicken and biscuits and chicken pot pie. The dish was very yummy, and with that boost of confidence today I will try to make Thai Lettuce Wraps. I will see how they turn out, but I hope they will be good. I will post pics once I start cooking.

Messenger Bag Revamp
Recently I have jumped on the bird silhouette band wagon. I find the bird silhouettes so beautiful. On one of my many thrift store therapy sessions I found this wonderful orange messenger bag. I love the color, but it was a little to plain so I decided to add to it. I found a wonderful little love bird image on line (I don’t remember where I got it or I would give the proper credit) This is what I came up with. Hope you like.

Empezar
So let me start by introducing myself. I am a twenty-something Chicana from LA who is currently living in LA. I love to create and be creative. I am a thrift store junkie and I love to revamp my finds. I have hindered my creativity due to my lack of motivation, but now I am ready to jump right in. I love anything celebrating my beautiful Mexican heritage and culture. I have amazing, beautiful friends who inspire me every single day.
2009 has been a very big year for me. I am a newlywed!! My hubby and I were married in Mexico, Aguascalientes in June 2009. I can’t complain about our wedding, and I hope to post some pictures as well as some hand-made stuff I created for the wedding. J and I are currently working on making our first house into a home. We were lucky enough to be able to purchase our little house and we hope to make it into the home of our dreams. I am also a recent graduate of the Sacramento State Department of Education. I received my teaching credential this month and can’t wait to get my own classroom! I can’t complain about my life, it might not be extraordinary but it is out of the ordinary.

Jump right in...
Today I begin my decent into the blog world. I have been toying with the idea of creating a blog for some time now, but honestly I never thought myself interesting enough to sustain a blog. I have finally decided to jump right in and see what my little creative self can come up with. I can honestly say that I have been inspired by all the amazing blogs out there and have decided to put my two cents into the mix. So here goes nothing, and everything rolled into one. Hope you enjoy little beats from my creative little heart.
