Clothing Swap with Friends

So my friend organized a clothing swap.  I had to decide what to bring and came upon this recipe.

This was my take on it.

I added some aguacate and a little jalapenos.  I think it came out yummy.

The clothing swap turned into a crafty party, I love when that happens.

With all the commotion I forgot to take any pictures.  Sorry.

This is so upsetting. How can people be so unjust. How can there be so much injustice in the world without anyone rising up? The latest news is that Brazil has given the green light to this horrendous project.

Brazil should be reprimanded for these actions. They should not be allowed to hold the World Cup or the Olympics. Why are supporting the genocide of a people? Why are we standing back and letting it happen?

Brazil should be ashamed!

Wasting Time

This is how I feel right now.  It's fun to just be for the the time being.  I had said that June is my month, July will be school month, and August is back to reality month.   My summer will end sooner that I know it, and for the time being I will just enjoy it.

Project ReStyle

Project ReStyle, a group on Flickr.

I have always wanted to work on a restyle project. I love repurposing items to make new and better things. I feel that our society has become very wasteful and I want to do my part to make our little planet better.

I hope to post some projects on here soon. I have tons of thrift store finds that need some tweaks, and I hope to work on them as soon as possible.

Nerdy Crafts..... I Love Them!!

I found my next nerdy craft!  I took inspiration from this craft.  A very much "why didn't I think of this" craft.  I love how quirky it is and how happy it makes me :)

I will take an Ikea frame (which I love and often use) and will do a little painting of my own.  Crafty summer is going to be great!!!!

Talking Thrift and Dreams

The idea of starting my own little Vintage Clothing store online has been on my mind for some time now.  I have been thinking of taking the plunge and just going for it.  I have been weary of doing this because of my Crafty Corazon crafty/etsy business I already have, and which is being neglected.  I figured, if I can't stay on top of my Crafty Corazon etsy site what makes me think I can keep up with a Vintage Clothing store? So I basically put it out of my mind.

The idea of opening up my online store popped back into my head a few months back when I had the chance to meet the very sweet Nikki form Little Bits of Nikk Nak.  I was very excited to make a connection with the ever growing Sacramento Blog circle and to also meet a blogger I follow.  She recently took the plunge and opened up her online store, Little Bit Vintage.  I spoke to her briefly about hers store and her advice on opening up my own store.  She gave me the best advice, she basically said "Just do it, but its definitely hard work."  I secretly decided to just go for it, but I had no idea where to begin or even how to begin. The universe decided to lend me a hand and made up my mind for me.  I came across an opportunity that I could not pass up.  I am teaming up with friends to make our dreams come true.  We decided to work together and make it happen, soon, very soon.

I will post more on this venture shortly, but for now I am just excited to say that I feel I am on the right path in life.
